Hi

Thank you for sending the double attachment so swiftly – I had time to try it the day before the competition.
We had a great 2 days with scores of 74.38% and 83.16% breaking our personal best of 81% – very happy and we became the SW Para Dressage Reserve Champions! A great result at our first attempt!!
I will send you some photos as soon as I have them.
Thanks again for all of your help and advice, the future looks bright!

Kind regards

Diane

Thanks Alice Reins Ltd for my bespoke reins for tiny hands! Just big enough for one finger in each to steer my ponies. Thank you! Can’t survive without my loops 🙂

I love my Alice Reins.

Hi there, well it’s been a month or so ago since I purchased the Alice Reins and thought now was a good time to report back.

You may remember we chatted about my injury (snapped thumb and Ulna Collateral Ligament) that required surgery to fuse with mitek bone anchors leaving my thumb in a ‘wine glass’ position with no grip.

Well I can honestly say what a marvellous set of reins! They are lovely quality and I like the fact you can personalise them. Just the correct length and fully adjustable.
This morning I took my youngster Red pictured below for a long hack with several other horses, exciting times!
I must admit I was a little concerned when they cantered I would have little control, I needn’t of worried … I had full control it was easy to switch to the shorter loop and managed to keep an even contact, even being brave enough to pop a small log!
So thank you Jacqui for all your help. My outhopedic surgeon Mr Rogers has written an email for British Dressage for a dispensation which is being sorted so I will be out competing again soon.
Please would you make me a set so I can use his double bridle for when we compete BD elementary and coloured classes ??? Can this be done ?
Kind Regards
Mrs Paula Joyce. & Red xx

Hi Jacqui

I had been meaning to get in touch with you ! Yes she is getting the hang of them for sure. It was a bit awkward at first as her little arm is so short compared to her other arm, it meant the reins were very high and this was making the pony turn to the left ! I actually brought her to a different instructor last week and had an individual lesson with him just to give her more time on her own (the normal lessons can have up to 6 children which means that she can only ride in very short bursts). This lesson went really well and the instructor was very happy with her and impressed with the reins. I will probably do a few more individual  lessons until she really gets the hang of them i think. I will get you some photos of her asap and send them  on to you !Thanks again for thinking of us and be in touch very soon!

Evening jacqui,
Just though I’d let you know your reins make such a difference. I’m still fiddling with the length adjustment as I’m working Zenit in lower and higher outlines.
I will send you pics soon but as a professional in the equine industry and owning a grey I simply can’t send you a pic until he is clipped and clean.
I promise it will be soon.
On of my clients I teach has Parkinson’s disease, she tried your reins in a lesson and will hopefully get her own pair!!

Thanks again

“After not being in the saddle for two months, today I road tested my bespoke Alice reigns!! They were absolutely brilliant as I’m having a bad arthritis flare up at the moment and they gave me a constant contact with not pain in my wrists or elbows! The hurty part was dismounting!!!! Thank you so much I am smitten! even if master ludo isn’t!!!”

Ruth Cooke, 73 this year, who suffered a major stroke in December 2012 resulting in loss of use of her right side. Ruth has worked hard to be able to ride again on Henry (25) but has always had trouble maintaining a hold on her right rein. We used the Alice reins today for the first time, and what a difference! Thank you so much!”

“Hello Jacqui Thank you for the reins, I have enjoyed using them and they have been very useful to help with my problem.  I have also recommended them to my therapist so that she can suggest them to other riders.  I will take pictures or video for you when I have someone to hand to help .The design is the best I have come across by far, they are better than those with a single loop as the rider can adjust rein length and they adjust well at the bottom so this does not interfere with the hands or rub the horses neck. If I was to be picky then I would say the third loop (closest to the horse) could do with being a little longer as for me to hold this rein in the canter makes the reins too short so I stick to the middle loop and ride with my hands a little closer to my body. I am really pleased to have found a product that works and is made by someone who is passionate about it and wants it to work to help others. I will keep you posted on my progress as I have put in for BD dispensation to be allowed to use these reins during competition so fingers crossed.

Thank You

 Hayley xx”

Hi
Well, she loves them!!! Played about to get them to the right length (think this clip was from when we had them too long!) and she had a great ride.
