Lucy riding with one functional hand using Alice ReinsWe were contacted by a lovely lady called Joanne Hodge who told me about her lovely daughter Lucy.  Lucy is very similar to my daughter Alice and she has just one functional hand on her left.  Lucy could not grip with her right hand. Joanne called me to tell me all about Lucy and the difficulties she had.

Lucy had lost her confidence when riding as she was unable to control her pony and so became more and more frustrated not being able to ride as others did.  Joanne and I discussed the width and length Lucy would need her reins and I assured Joanne that they would really make a difference to Lucy and her riding.  Lucy’s Alice Reins were made and sent to her.

 

This is what Lucy had to say:

“I’m Lucy and I am 12 years old I started riding when I was at the age of 10. I was very stressed and felt unsafe with my side reins tied together using a flash until my Mam discovered Alice Reins so I give them a go. Now I can do everything I can even do jumps now I’m a lot happier and much more confident. I have better control of Paddy.
